A New Adventure

To whom it may concern,

Thank you for agreeing to consider me for this position. Based on our latest communication, I understand your concerns with my application and hope to address those in this letter and our interview. I am very excited to be considered for this opportunity and feel that I am an ideal candidate for the position.

I graduated two years ago from New York University’s Inclusive Animal Biology, Medicine, and Care program in the top three of my class. I was recruited for the Earth Global Customs and Animal Protection Unit and have served two years at the JFK Intergalactic Landing Port. My duties consisted of inspecting incoming animal life in both the private pet department and for the agricultural department. During that time I was able to work with a variety of life forms from all over this and our neighbouring galaxies. Additionally, I spent time volunteering in the Infant Care Unit, caring for recently abandoned or orphaned wildlife.

I understand you are concerned about how my age will affect my ability to perform duties as a resident veterinarian on board. Please be assured that I am not only able but passionate about this job and opportunity. My time at the ICU proved to be a second full time position, often requiring night visits or care. I am committed to my job as an animal caregiver and I am confident I can complete the duties expected of me. Lastly, please allow me to reiterate my passion and excitement for this job.

While many may apply for such positions to focus on exploration, discoveries, and adventure, I was drawn to this particular position and ship for the opportunity to care for the wildlife we encounter and educate my peers to be better representatives of our planets.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

 Dr. Francesca Carassi
